I've commissioned a new work from American Composer Philip Glass--It's called Partita for Solo Violin, in seven movements. The piece is almost completed and so far, I think it's really some of his best writing--so dark, lyrical, and melodic. Check out the first movement, "Opening" [click to listen]

The piece will have its US premiere in New York City at Symphony Space next fall as part of a multimedia evening called Portals. [more info]

This past December, I played the solo violin part in a concert version of Philip Glass' mind-bendlng piece, "Einstein on the Beach" at Carnegie Hall in my home-town, New York, NY.
