It's that time of year! Two arrangements (and one mashup) of holiday tunes for solo violin.

In partnership with Millennial Magazine and Nexus Working Group on Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery, I composed and released Freedom, with proceeds benefiting the organization Made in a Free World.

Glacial, for violin and orchestra, was composed as a wedding gift for my friends getting married in Antarctica and subsequently used to celebrate Earth Day 2020.

Lou Harrison Violin Concerto

I worked with the PostClassical Ensemble (conducted by Angel Gil-Ordonez), and pianist Michael Boriskin to celebrate the works of Lou Harrison with this critically acclaimed recording of the Violin Concerto, Grand Duo, and Double Music (co-composed by John Cage).

Original music from the live experimental theater work Club Diamond - a collaboration with theatre artists Saori Tsukada and Nikki Appino, which expresses a shared love for Western and Japanese silent film.

First Loves is a collection of quintessential violin masterpieces which first inspired me to be a violinist. Includes showpieces by Rachmaninoff, Sarasate, Wieniawski, and more, plus “Swan Remix,” my own arrangement of themes from Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake.

Resonance is an original composition for solo violin and orchestra (recorded here with The Knights conducted by Eric Jacobsen) which was used in a 360VR video collaboration with Google, in which I perform on-camera, to introduce 360 stereoscopic video for YouTube to the world.

This album features “Partita for Solo Violin” which Philip wrote for me, here in its world-premiere recording along with solo violin music from Einstein on the Beach, the interludes from the Second Violin Concerto, and the solo violin music from Book of Longing.

The sounds of my violin can be heard in the 2013 Oscar-winning feature 12 Years a Slave, which depicts Solomon Northup, a free black man from upstate New York, being abducted and sold into slavery.
