The sounds of my violin can be heard in the 2013 Oscar-winning feature 12 Years a Slave, which depicts Solomon Northup, a free black man from upstate New York, being abducted and sold into slavery. I was honored to ghost-play all of the diegetic music for the lead actor, Chewitel Ejiofor, as well as co-arranging music for the film with composer Nicholas Britell.
